The food on buffet was delicious. However they ran out of food and we had to wait about 30 minutes before they brought some more out. They never brought any more ribs out. I think this was because they only had one cook. I would go back again because food was worth the wait.

For my first time I recently ate at the Gay Hawk and I must say, the food and service was as good as I've always heard! The food was heaven FOR REAL!!! The atmosphere was warm and friendly too! This place has been around for a long time and I've heard many good stories about its history. You will not be disappointed!!! I can't wait to go back!!!

If you're looking for southern homestyle cooking without the added fat, stop by for the Sunday Buffet. The food is brought out in frequent intervals to avoid the possibility of dried out food. They bring it out of the kitchen in the same utensils that they're cooked in, straight from the stove. Yummy for sure! And the staff is always friendly and helpful.

Food good as always. Chicken was falling off the bone tender! Live band during lunch was on point.

It took me back to my childhood. Made me think of my grandmothers feast on Sundays. The cornbread and peas and turkey neck bone. You can’t get that just anywhere. The sweet tea was so good. Fried chicken was excellent. Then there was peach cobbler. Oh my goodness. I think we may drive back to Memphis just to eat here again.
